Do you have a dog? Have you ever smelled their feet?
My dogs, along with other people I know, smell like Fritos (If you have never smelled your dogs feet, go do so now).
Which isn’t a bad thing per se. I like Fritos, but it gets me thinking.
My dog, who is as graceful as I am, tends to do things like step in her own pee or poop. Sometimes I see this and it gets cleaned off. Sometimes I am sure she steps on older poo which doesn’t stick to her, but you know it got on there. Therefore, I don’t see it and it stays on. She also steps in dirt, grass, a few bugs from time to time I am sure (murderer). And a whole bunch of other things I probably don’t want to know about. And yet, all these things combined together makes her feet smell like Fritos. Hmm. Perhaps I need to remind myself of this the next time I feel the need for a Frito.

You have no idea how happy you’ve just made me. I thought I was the only one!! And I swear, my dog’s feet smell like popcorn.

And… if you know what your dog steps in, why are you getting your face that close to it’s feet? Lol!

Mimi- Sadly because she is always in my space. That dog owns the bed and merely rents us space.

OMG, they do!!! I would have thought the icky eye runny face stink would have overwhelmed the feet smell, but they do smell like fritos! Now, off to wash the dog cause boy he stinks like lots of other things as well!

every time I see your dog I’m reminded of my cocker I grew up with. My dogs feet smells like crap (to put it politely) so you’re lucky that yours smells like fritos (I think : ). But, he’s a black lab mix so he’s about twice as big as your cocker spaniel. : )

Don’t have dogs. Have cat. Cat uses litter box. Her feet smell like litter box. I know this because she has a habit of walking over my face in the middle of the night and waking me up….

Ok, I just smelled my golden retriever’s feet and they definitely do not smell like fritos. They smell like dog. Well, like the rest of her. Not really a bad smell, but more like not something I would use as an air freshener.

Dog feet totally, totally smell like Fritos. We have always thought this in my family. Our dogs have always had “Frito feet”. Love it! Glad to know we weren’t the only ones that thought this!

Cat feet also smell like Fritos! I have always thought this. My husband thinks I am crazy. I cannot wait to show him your post so he knows I am not the only one! By the way, our cats do not go outdoors so I wonder if the Frito smell is just their natural perfume

I apparently have smelled my dog’s feet enough to get an opinion, and I’d say they smell more like seasoned popcorn
… or Fritos.

I don’t think kittens feet smell, just dogs. Since my dog never bothers to clean anything.

I just wanted to add that ever since I saw this post, I think of you every time I smell my dog. I am pretty sensitive to smells and so he gets a LOT of baths … but do to a recent surgery (he’s still a boy, right??) I’ve had to hold off for the last week and I am not convinced it’s just his feet that smell like Fritos, it’s the whole dog! My boyfriend isn’t buying the Frito comparison … I think it’s just because he really likes Fritos and doesn’t want to ruin them for himself.

Our dog Mo, starts to smell like Doritos/Fritos around the 2nd week after her bath. It’s funny.
