I have to agree that Tillamook cheese is the best. I feel like a bit of a traitor, being from california (who is proud of their dairy products) and liking a cheese from Oregon. Oh well.

To be honest, I don't like cheese very much. I don't like melted cheese at all. But, Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese is my favorite cheese.

It's just good.

We plan on stopping at the boy scout camp at Camp Meriweather on our trip north this summer (my Grandpa was scoutmaster there 45 years ago and I spent some time there one summer). I think the Tillamook factory is near that, I've put it on my list of things to do there. And yes, I put their cookbook on my wish list!

That looks amazing! When you have your wine and cheese party, do I get an invite? I think I might have some Junket in my cupboard from a homeschool science experiment. If I find it, do you want it?

Those battered shrimps look lush! Honestly, I could devour those, I am starving!
My grandmother had a beach house in Oceanside (about 6 miles from Tillamook) I grew up visiting the cheese factory during my school vacations. I never got tired of the tour. I also love their ice cream! The Blue Heron Cheese factory is also nice to visit, but my heart will always belong to Tillamook cheese. In the olden days we used to walk right beside the vats of curd, but it is all sealed off now. So sad.
