I work close enough to where they deliver and I think my office went through a phase where we ordered from there 3-4 times per week. Also, with parents being from Thailand and Laos, the food is close enough to authentic that it hits the spot. Your daughter should try it if she hasn’t already. She’ll love it and when you visit, make sure she takes you there.

As for Ivar’s, their chowder is a little piece of heaven. All I can say.

It’s one of their fast food places in our local upscale mall (Valley Fair). Mr. L and I bypass the chinese food, hot dog on a stick and burger taco places and head straight to Ivar’s every time. They don’t have some of the good stuff you mention, but we love their popcorn shrimp and fried clams.

Not sure if you’re taking restaurant review suggestions, but can I recommend Djan’s in Wallingford for a future post? Hands down some of the best Thai food in Seattle, and a gorgeous atmosphere. It’s the first place my husband and I go when we’re back in town.
